Do you think you are getting value for your ratepayer dollar? Honestly, it’s hard to tell.
The finances come out in such a piecemeal way with lots of added spin even those who work every day in this area don’t often have the answer.
Many times in #coastalward it hasn’t seemed like it… value… more like cheap and nasty! But how can we really tell, and more importantly how can we advocate when we can’t figure it out.

A few weeks I organised a letter from the board to the Mayor voicing our concerns and she has promised next year’s annual plan process will be much better.. I’ll be holding her to that!
Make sure you have your votes in… a strong mandate from the ratepayers will give the community board more voice to get the value we deserve out here!
