D is for Decisions

blog-dThere are still many decisions to be made in #coastalward especially around the Red Zone future use. This process hasn’t even begun 6 years on and has stalled so much of our local recovery.

I want the community to be at the heart of the decision-making process because it is our community that will have to adapt to, and live with, the changes in the Red Zone.

The last 6 years has been hard on our democratic rights and there are still pockets of leadership that want to “do to us” instead of “do with us”.

This last term has been a whirlwind of learning, advocating and networking and I am stronger than ever to fight for this community. We will need to band together as we make decisions on complex issues not least of which include Sea Level Rise.

I am strong on using proper process, that puts residents at the heart of the decisions.
